Windows Explorer Tabs - Clover and ExplorerMax #38

 For these notes, Clover version is 3.5.4. (2020-04-16) and ExplorerMax is 2.0.0.6, this note date is 28-03-2021
 Clover is freeware and ExplorerMax has a limited functionality free version.

ExplorerMax has more functionality then Clover, however it is a lot more heavy on windows start, sends data to his webpage and has no option to disable automatic updates. Annoying bugs include ExplorerMax on top of other windows, minimizing/closing doesn't work and the only solution is to kill the process.

Clover is the free alternative, however the installer is in Chinglish, so here is Clover 3.5.4. installation:
download the file setup_clover@3.5.4.exe from link

When running all text in in Chinese, the translation is:

ExplorerMax looks like this, its possible to add locations that are loaded to the Tabs when it starts, there is also dual plane, an image viewer plugin and a bookmark bar :

 

 

Unfortunately because of the constant data exchange with their webpage, the bugs and crashes, Clover will be my choice.
